Hello!
I am Sara Md

I am a final year BA (Hons) Architecture student at Ravensbourne University

about me

I am currently in my final year of my Bachelors’s studying Architecture at Ravensbourne University London, where I completed 6 community-based projects in the last three years. My strengths lie in a combination of technical drawing, photographic architecture, and rendering which is reflected in the majority of my projects, such as The Hackneywick Harvest.

The core of my concept explores the idea of the building is to build a sustainable architecture that looks into bringing comfortable internal spaces for the users. Hackney Harvest reflects on the idea of having better ventilation that helps generate fruits and vegetables that could be distributed into the neighbourhood of Hackney wick.

The design program was introduced in order to regenerate and repopulate the site by introducing an architecture that allows the community to socialise.

Hackney Harvest:

The concept of the hackney harvest was to look into cultivating fresh fruit and vegetables that will be grown by users of Hackney which will, later on, be delivered back into the community, to keep the
programme running.

Pulley Manor:

The final outcome was a playhouse build for the community of Southwark, giving a space for the younger generation to interact and socialise, also contribute to rebuilding the community.

  • 321 Workshop gave me the opportunity to work with students and demonstrates how to use different CAD programmes and help out with their college projects.
  • Brooke House Sixth Form College gave me the opportunity to demonstrate my work and also I was a part of a workshop where I was helping the students to develop their project brief and guiding them on how to carry out site analysis.
  • 2nd Script
My role was to supervise the setting up of studio lighting.

The project overlooks into introducing educational and retail programmes for the Hackney wick users. The programmes aim to adapt a space that will allow the users to grow fresh fruits and vegetables, which will, later on, be delivered back into society by using drones. This new technology will bring freshly grown vegetables to the user’s doorstep.
